Trading Binge Drinking for Binge Cooking

....just kidding, Mom and Dad. :)

Anyways, my sister and I have started a cooking blog. We have added some of our favorite recipes already. We will continue to update the list as we come across more.

Feel free to copy our cooking ideas as your own, but only when we're not around cuz we'll totally call you out. Luvs!

The link is under "My Bitches...and recipes". It's called "A Bun in the Oven". Clever huh? My sis is so funny...

Aaron's coming home!

Sorry everyone, but I'm not going to be keeping up with posting on the blog for a while. We are going to be BUSY.

Aaron gets here in exactly one week. Then we pack. Then we finish wedding stuff. Then we wed. Then we go on the honeymoon. Then we ship our stuff over. Then we move to Singapore.

Yeah, it's gonna be crazy.

The bachelorette party is Friday and I'm super excited. It'll be a nice stress reliever in the midst of the madness.

On a side note, I just want to thank my fiance for listening to this crazy girl be a stressball every morning for the last few days/weeks/months. He's been so patient and great. I can be pretty ridiculous.

My guilty pleasure

In all of this wedding dieting, there is one food that I've decided that I can't cut out. It's Pringles Select Jalapeno Ranch potato chips. This a big deal for me. I don't even really like potato chips. However, these are phenomenal. I've gone through 3 bags in the last two months. I cannot stop eating them.

They are the perfect blend of kinda spicy and delicious ranch. You must try them.

That's my product plug for the day. Happy snacking :)

What did I do before Wikipedia?

I love Wikipedia. I love it to the point where if I'm bored, I will just click "random article" on the site and learn about things that I'd never even heard of. It's amazing. It seriously has everything on there.

Today, I decided to learn what the heck is in all that Singaporean food that I've been so scared to eat. Try it! Type in "Singaporean cuisine" and read for yourself. I've decided that some of it might not be so bad, but some of it is still horrifying.

For example, Pig Organ soup (which is a delicacy) is just as horrifying as it sounds. It contains pig intestines, stomach, blood cubes, pork slices and salted vegetables. Now, you'd think one of the richest countries in the world could make cuisine that didn't seem like it came from the scrap pile at a slaughter house. They're freaking insane. I will never touch that crap.

Things that I've decided to try however aren't bad at all. Kaya toast, roti prata and satay are all next on the list. They sound pretty harmless and I can understand what the ingredients are.

Here's to my open mind when I go back to Asia.

I'm still not eating durian, people. So don't even ask.

Super Mario and the National Champs

So sorry for the long delay in posting. I've been living and breathing KU basketball for the last week. Boy oh boy, has it been awesome! Last night made my already raspy voice almost disappear completely. I jumped up and down, I screamed and when it was over, I cried. Words can't even describe how awesome it was to see my Jayhawks win it all.

Here are some pictures of the night.

So needless to say, I didn't make it in to work today. I felt like dog poo this morning, but ya was worth every minute.

New Chonies

Please excuse the awkwardness, but I am absolutely obsessed with my new undies. Melissa, my friend that works at Victoria's Secret introduced them to me. I might be in love.

They're from the Intimissimi line. It's an Italian line of lingerie that is sold at select Victoria's Secret stores. Lucky us, the Oak Park store carries them.

Since Melissa is pretty much an expert at telling me what I would like when I go into the Vickie's, I trusted her judgment to buy 3 pairs of these bad boys.

Thank God I did! They are like a smooth, forgiving, "I might not be wearing underwear" underwear. They are so comfortable that I feel like I'm not wearing underwear. They are so smooth that there is no way that you could even make yourself have pantylines while wearing them...not on your cheeks, back fat or side fat. I put on the nude ones this morning and freaked when I saw myself in the mirror. It looked like I wasn't wearing underwear, but was mysteriously missing a va-jay-jay. Weird, but awesome.

The fabric looks a lot like the material my leotards were made out of when I was little in dance class. However, there are no seams and they don't move...unless you move them.

Can you tell I'm obsessed? I doubt I buy another kind of chonies again.
